Kosovo still imports a notable share of its electricity and remains heavily coal-based, with a growing daytime power variable. A private, well-permitted solar plant helps deliver local power, improves grid stability, and offers strong investor economics.

Location & Land Tenure

The site covers 610,000 m² under the control of one private owner — the same person who owns White Oak L.L.C. This removes the usual Balkan headache of fragmented plots. For investors, two structures are possible: (1) full purchase of the land into the SPV, or (2) long-term lease on bankable terms.

Technology

System Overview
The plant is configured as a ground-mounted PV park with ~114,000 Tier-1 mono/bifacial modules.
Modules
Tier-1 modules with ~25–30 year performance warranties and ~0.5% annual degradation.
Inverters & MV Collection
Central inverters in 3–5 MW blocks; MV step-up to 20–33 kV ring; SCADA-ready.
Substation & Grid
Dedicated substation from MV to 110 kV with ~50/63 MVA transformer and protections.
O&M
Remote monitoring, maintenance planning, vegetation management, and performance tracking.

ABOUT WHITE OAK

ABOUT WHITE OAK White Oak L.L.C. is a Kosovo-based project development company focused on private renewables — solar first, storage-ready. The company works from the same premises as ECMI Kosovo in Prishtina, which gives it strong administrative and community links. The founder is also the landowner of the Beli Dub site, which is why the project has unusually clean land title for the region.
